Job Description
Provides networking support for MTC daily operations and training and exercise events. Configures, installs, and manages network equipment and circuits in support of both home-station and distributed events and exercises. Provides network software and hardware troubleshooting and support. Assists units and other exercise stakeholders during exercises. Reviews STIGs and Best Business Practices (BBPs) to ensure that all Network equipment meets the required Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Army and DOD standards.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
Meet DoD 8570.01-M Baseline Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirements at Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II) or the minimum equivalent DoD 8140 DCWF requirements for Work Role 441 Network Operations Specialist. AA/AS in computer science or related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications and/or training, specializing in Networking. Minimum of two years’ experience in Network Architecture design and implementation. Possess advanced planning, troubleshooting and maintenance skills on server platforms, switch, router, and firewall configuration. Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support; Knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software; Knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications Strong understanding of technology integration and information flow including LAN/WAN, firewalls, security, storage, and backup methodologies. Must fully understand the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification and Accreditation process and Cyber Security requirements. Secret security clearance required, at a minimum.
