Job TitleUnited States Army Survival Evasion Resistance Escape (SERE) Mission / Administrative Support Personnel

Location:  Fort Rucker, Alabama

Duties:  Provide mission support and administrative services necessary to ensure daily operational, administrative support and execution of SERE training at Fort Rucker, Alabama and the TAC-X (a remote military training site near Samson, Alabama)

  • Course Registrar
    • Conduct in-/out-processing activities of students. Liaison between US Army units (Active Duty, Reserve and Guard), other DOD service branches, and Federal Government Agencies. Ensure course information in ATRRS is accurate and up-to- date.  Ensure Contractor personnel comply with Government annual training requirements
  • Administrator Support Personnel
    • Perform general office management and administrative support functions necessary to support various SERE Detachment clerical requirements. Provide clerical and administrative support related to the review and edit of internal and external correspondence. Maintain and update as required the SERE School SOP and continuity binders for administration
  • Security Support Personnel
    • Provide management and oversight of the SERE security program and ensure compliance with established DOD and local security policies and guidance.  Provide oversight of security functions required of SERE School ensuring safes, key control, and armory inspectable security items.  Ensure Contractor personnel have a valid security clearance and that security clearances are kept current. Design, develop and deliver a security education and training program
  • Facilities Support Personnel
    • Coordinate with the Fort Rucker Directorate of Public Works (DPW), monitor and provide status of work orders and job orders, and ensure that Government facilities are maintained in accordance with DPW policies and guidance and local SERE Detachment SOP
  • Transportation Support Personnel
    • Provide on-site management and oversight of Government vehicles assigned to the SERE Detachment. Conduct periodic inspections of vehicles to ensure vehicle inspections are performed and documented in accordance with the Fort Rucker Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) policies and guidance. Assist the Government during accident investigations
  • Supply and Logistics Personnel
    • Provide on-site supply management and oversight of supplies and logistics functions necessary to support the SERE school daily operational requirements. Conduct supply inventories and order supplies.  Track supply requests in the various Government supply and logistics automated systems.  Execute Property Book/Hand Receipt processes and management
  • Information Technology Personnel
    • Ensure Government provided IT systems are maintained in accordance with DOD and local policy and guidance. Provide management and oversight of IT systems.  Provide general IT support to military cadre, training and support staffs. Maintain IT hardware and software; and computer certificates
    • Minimum IT Certification Requirements: CompTIA Security+ (supersedes A+ and Network+), MCTS: Windows 7 or higher, such as MCSE
  • Armorer
    • Issue, account for, maintain and secure weapons – to include non-NATO firearms – sensitive items and ammunition in the arms room as well as at the SRM and Break Contact ranges
    • Assist Logistics personnel with any supply requests in support of arms room operations. Maintain all documentation pertaining to arms room operations. Must possess Class C CDL with Hazmat endorsement
