Mission Command Arts and Science Instructor

Summary of Responsibilities: Provide instruction to students at the United States Army Medical Center of Excellence on applicable Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS), which may include Command Post Compute Environment (CPCE), Joint Capabilities Release (JCR)/Joint Battle Command – Platform (JBC-P), Command Post of the Future, Force XXI Batle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) and possibly others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Training Instructors shall:

· train students in the Mission Command Arts and Science Program (MCASP) on applicable MCIS systems

· utilize a variety of instructional technologies, training devices, and teaching methods to incorporate the principles of adult learning into teaching practices.

· have the ability to learn, within a 30 calendar day period of time, a new and/or revised information system.

· have the ability to assess the training needs of various educational disciplines, to include but not limited to, officer areas of concentration, and military occupational specialties.

· attend training for new MCIS software systems. Training may be in places other than Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Training shall be completed within 30 days after notification of requirement.

· be able to operate existing automation and collaboration tools and learn, within a 14 calendar day period a new or updated automation and collaboration applications.

· be able to evaluate, design, develop, implement, reevaluate, and revise training programs for the MCIS. Contractor employees providing instruction shall have sufficient basic knowledge of the MCIS to determine the cause of and solution to an error condition.

· develop and update lesson plans

· be trained and certified for each system taught

· support classroom setup

· coordinate use of training equipment, classrooms, instructional materials

· coordinate and develop training schedules

· evaluate and recommend improvements to training programs

· perform MCASP course related administrative duties

· provide feedback on instruction provided, student evaluations and lessons learned.

Qualifications:

· Shall have familiarity of U.S. Army healthcare specialties and medical operations.

· Shall have 1 year experience training the Tactical Mission Command program(s) of record, preferably Command Post Compute Environment (CPCE)

· Shall have 1 year experience training the Mounted Family of Computer Systems, preferably Joint Capabilities Release (JCR)/Joint Battle Command – Platform (JBC-P).

· Shall be a graduate of the Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course (CFDP-IC) within the past 5 years of contract award or complete it within 90 days of contract start, or hire date for replacement instructors.

· Select instructors must graduate the Common Faculty Development-Developer Course (CFDP-DC) within 150 days of hire date and graduate from the Army Training Information System (ATIS) within 180 days of hire.

Additional Requirements: Each instructor:

· shall safeguard all government property, including controlled forms, provided for contractor use. At the close of each work period, each employee will secure the government training equipment, facilities, support equipment, and other valuable materials for which they are assigned and/or responsible.

· shall complete all requirements in the FSCX Training and Certification Plan.

· shall complete all Government required additional training such as Operational Security (OPSEC), Antiterrorism (AT), Information Security, etc.

· shall wear acceptable instructor attire consistent with customer guidance, normally collared shirts and slacks, no blue jeans or tennis shoes.

· shall comport him/herself in a professional manner as indicated in the FSCX co-worker handbook and ethics policies

· shall obtain a pass for their privately owned vehicles at Visitor Reception Center, and provide proof of following: (1) Liability Insurance; (2) Current License Plates; (3) Current State Inspection Sticker (if required); (4) Valid State Driver License; and (5) A phone number for sponsor on post.
